Looking For a Different Approach?

Many people find their way to herbal medicine because they feel like they've fallen through the cracks. They know something isn't quite right, but haven't found the support they're looking for. Others are simply interested in a more natural approach to health, or want to better understand the underlying factors contributing to their symptoms.Herbal medicine offers a different perspective.Herbal medicine uses the natural, innate medicinal properties of plants to support health in the body. In the same way that plants use their phytoconstituents to protect, support, and grow themselves, herbal medicine uses those same phytoconstituents to protect, support, and grow human minds and bodies. In my practice, we take a holistic apporach. Rather than focusing on a single symptom, we take the time to look at the bigger picture: your health history, digestion, sleep, stress levels, nutrition, and other factors that may be influencing your health, so that we can really understand the root cause of the symptom.Using herbal medicine alongside practical nutrition and lifestyle support, the goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to work with the body rather than against it, supporting lasting change over time.

how I became a herbalist

About Me

My path to herbal medicine has been anything but conventional. Before becoming a clinical herbalist, I worked as a diplomat and later built a practice as a holistic nutritionist. Along the way, I became increasingly interested in the ways food, lifestyle, and herbal medicine can support long-term health and well-being.I hold a diploma in holistic nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) and completed a three-year clinical herbal apprenticeship under the close guidance of a very experienced herbalist and teacher. My work combines herbal medicine with nutrition and lifestyle support, allowing me to take a broad view of health while tailoring recommendations to each individual. My approach is grounded, practical, and collaborative. I believe herbal medicine can be a powerful tool, not as a quick fix, but as part of a thoughtful and individualized approach to health. Rather than working against the body, my goal is to help clients understand what their symptoms may be telling them and support lasting change over time. When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me in the garden, experimenting in the kitchen, or spending time outdoors with my family.
